Independent Contractor Notice

Last updated: June 2026 · Template pending legal review — not yet legal advice.

SnapFixx is a technology platform that connects customers with independent service professionals across IT and technology support, home cleaning, repairs and handyman services, and beauty and personal care. Service professionals are self-employed independent contractors, not employees of SnapFixx. Each carries their own liability insurance appropriate to their service category as a condition of joining the network, and those working in regulated trades must hold and maintain a valid provincial licence.

Each service professional is responsible for the work they perform and carries primary insurance for it. Where a professional's work causes injury, property damage or data loss, their policy responds first, and SnapFixx will provide the job records, photographs and communications needed to support a claim. Nothing in this notice limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection, employment standards or human rights legislation, and nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
