Independent Contractor Notice
Last updated: June 2026 · Template pending legal review — not yet legal advice.
SnapFixx is a technology platform that connects users with independent IT technicians. Technicians are self-employed independent contractors, not employees of SnapFixx, and are responsible for carrying their own general and professional liability insurance as a condition of joining the network.
SnapFixx is not responsible or accountable for any injury, property damage, data loss, or other liability arising while a technician is performing or travelling to a service request. By accepting a job, the technician acknowledges this responsibility.
Ontario digital platform workers
Technicians in Ontario have rights under the Digital Platform Workers' Rights Act, including written information on pay calculation, a recurring pay period (SnapFixx pays weekly each Friday), amounts earned without surprise deductions, and written explanation of any removal from the platform.
